I was recently donated a twenty. I'm super hungry so I wanted my $$ to go far. You should definitely try grocery outlet, it's very low cost. I bought water, 3 large bean cans, loaf of bread, coffee drink, 2L root beer, brownies, potato chips [large bag], apples, & cinnabuns all for less that $17 . This normally Costs way more in my region, I wanted to share to help others save $$ 🍏 🥪

They also have an app and you get $5 off for downloading the app! I shop there all the time. I don't buy meat from them but everything else is good.

i go there for clearance stuff. got a couple of quarts of half and half for 50 cents each the other day. the more fat in dairy, the longer it stays good - so expiration being next day wasn't a big deal

Fuckin loooooove grocery outlet. They're my first stop whenever my foodies turn back on for the month; it feels like grocery shopping in 2017. Of course, I don't really plan on picking up certain items from there, more just see what I can get for a good deal and then make a second stop if I gotta round out some meals with more ingredients.

But it's nice to be able to spend $20 and get enough food to eat for days. When they had the oil and vinegar Annie's dressing for $2 at my local spot, I'd get that, cheap bread, and fancy cheese. Would feed me for half a week, worked out to about $2/meal.

Something that most people don’t know is that there are some products on Amazon that are $1 or less like cans of food. It can be especially helpful if you’re in the middle of nowhere because a church or homeless shelter nearby that it can be sent to. With Walmart Plus, there’s even same day delivery and I think with some items there’s no delivery fee and no order minimum

Yes Grocery outlet for sure..

But I say go further - you may not have home but your soul does -- YOUR BODY !

You have to take care of that with proper nutrition, sleep, exercise and hygiene.

Check out my other post where I give detailed information about it if I'm interested:

Agreed, and those "outlet' types, or warehouse membership stores are more than worth the $60/year membership - even eggs (price comparison is all the rage right now, I hear) are almost half of at a grocery store

yes, you'll likely buy a bit more and require some storage-type space OR if you have someone you can trust (or friend with space for stuff but not a bed) then it's worth even more

Even not buying a whole lot still makes it worth it - from their food court (hot dog & refillable soda for under $2, pizza, etc.) to their pharmacy (they have a store discount program for most places) where buying without insurance is inexpensive - wife has a medication that insurance has issues with, at most places buying "cash" hass it prices well over $300, at Costco we only pay a bit over $60

Also, the cost for wagons, packs, gear, and other things are often well priced, or comparable to an Outlet Camping store (though thrift stores are often still better in this regard)

Is that a store, an app? I’ve never heard of it.

Beans, oats, potatoes, and rice would get you far. They are super foods. Try couponing too
