Did Reddit Get Rid of the Free Awards?

I've been wondering the same thing. People have been posting about this for a while now, but there has ever been an answer from Reddit or a Mod. So we still don't know.

If you go to cancel your premium they will give you 1000 coins on your next renewal. you didn't hear it here folks

I'm thinking they might have gotten rid of them in the new year. Don't think I've seen one in the last week. No mention of it anywhere online though (that I can find at least).

As one of the poors it was honestly a reason to build up karma; was in the top 1% last year. With them getting rid of the free awards I absolutely will be going elsewhere with my time.

It's possible that Reddit has temporarily disabled the free award feature or made it only available to certain users.

I got one a dew days ago, I think I get once about once a week. I've brought a lot of coins and used to have premium so maybe that's why 🤔

Nope they just decided to move them to under the coin. I don't know why, it was fine as it was. So sort of hide them so you would by them sort of ploy...

I used to remember to check if there was one when I would see a comment that I wanted to award So every 3 days or so I'd get another free award. It's been just over a week now with nada. Which sucks really.

I have 2 alts and the rewards all dried up sometime after 2023 started. I was getting them every day, throwing trophies around willy nilly

I haven’t gotten them in months:/// been scouring the internet for posts like this that weren’t written a year ago bc no one else seemed to be having this problem recently. i thought it was just me. sure enough i go to look if anyone else has finally posted about it this year, and i see this. :(

It's been days for me. Just Googled it, bc it has seemed like a long while.

I only ever give them to authors on NoSleep, just to help give good stories more traction. It's a shame, bc I damn sure ain't paying for it.
