Good papa. My daughter won a national honor a couple weeks ago. The type of thing that leads to lifelong professional connections. I’ve been crying randomly since then whenever I think too much about it.

A dad’s favourite context in which he can say “see kid! I told you so!”

This just made me realize no one has ever celebrated my accomplishments. At least, not like this. Wow.

I'm not bitter though! I'm so happy someone has that much love and support. It's truly heartwarming to see.

This makes me miss my dad. I wonder if he looks down & sees me. I wonder if he's proud. She's very lucky.

Lmao I had such bad parents, when I got accepted for med school and psychology they were like „what’s for dinner again?“ that’s not a whiny post. I’m grown to now but it’s so crazy to see how it could be.

This is so sweet. My dad hasn’t even made eye contact with me throughout my whole pregnancy lol. It’s good to see good dads

Welp. My dad died 2 months ago and this video got me fucking crying. I might need to unsubscribe from this sub.

She is so fortunate. I’m 58, and would still give almost anything to get that response from my parents.

In my experience a lot of people who are very nervous and disorganised about their personal lives can be extremely calm, clearheaded, and methodical when it’s other people in crisis. The odds are good she’s going to be a great trauma nurse.

Man, I wish I had a dad like this. I got an associate's and bachelor's degree two years apart and he acted like he was being put out having to attend both graduation ceremonies. Then he didn't want to go out to dinner to celebrate as a family, and instead just go home because he was missing the sportsball game he wanted to watch.

I am jealous so hard.

I always misread the name of this subreddit as "happy cringy dads" up until today and now I feel bad
