I have to have arthroscopic surgery on my shoulder in less than a week to reattach my supraspinatus tendon to my humerus, and my labrum has a small tear that needs to be trimmed. I’m a bit nervous about the procedure. However, I’m far more anxious about the recovery process. It seems daunting. Has anyone else been through this that can impart a few words of positivity or, especially, tips and tricks to help with the process? I know I’ll be in a sling for a month then I’ll gradually rebuild my shoulder through physical therapy. How bad is the post-op pain? How hard is it to do normal daily tasks like shower, cook, etc? Any words of wisdom or encouragement will be deeply appreciated. Thank you.
