Avoiding talking about space and time just delays the inevitable. Determinism is a dead duck and that is why the hard determinist is trying to rebrand himself as a hard incompatibilist. or a compatibilist or in some cases even a libertarian compatibilist.
The free will denier is bringing a knife to a gunfight if he is trying to talk science and doesn't come with determinism.
