The future of EVs certainly weighs less than a car does

The thing that is holding electric motorcycles back is range and lack of fast charging capability (and even if fast charging capability could be added: the lack of fast charging infrastructure in regions where it's fun to drive motrorcycles).
Motorcycles don't use significantly less energy than cars but they *do* have significantly less space to fit batteries. So unless someone solves this conundrum (e.g. by going full cell-to-chassis and basically building the entire bike out of battery material) this is ging to remain a problem.

I have a small eletric motorcycle. After looking at all the ones available, the biggest problem is, of cause, the range. Anything with power and speed will have less than 100ks of range and multiple hours of charging. For a commuter with 30 or 50 ks each way they are good. They are of no use for long distance.
