According to the “This Week on Dropout” Instagram reel, tonight is the season finale of MSN. However, this is only episode 19 of what was supposed to be a 20 episode season, and we haven’t seen the episode with Rachel Bloom (possibly a karaoke episode?) that was teased in the trailer.
Did I miss something? Anyone have insight?
EDIT: This was posted prior to the announcement about the sound issues. I was simply curious and did not mean for this post to get so out of hand!

The newsletter confirms that the musical episode has been dropped because of sound issues.
*Unfortunately there were significant sound issues with our recording of the season's musical episode and it was unsalvageable. A huge bummer, we'll hopefully be able to make up for it next season!*

The newsletter says:
“You might have noticed this season of Make Some Noise will be ending on episode 19 instead of 20! Unfortunately there were significant sound issues with our recording of the season’s musical episode and it was unsalvageable. A huge bummer, we’ll hopefully be able to make up for it next season!”
Huge disappointment, but it is what it is.

Rachel Bloom's episode wasn't cancelled because she's a Zionist. Her episode of Monet's Slumber Party premiered in July, 2024! The fundraiser she was part of happened in February, 2024. But fun conspiracy theory, y'all

Wasn't her being an outright zionist disproven? That she just fundraiser for the hostages in specific and that Twitter was actually somebody else's? Maybe I missed something since finding that out

People are saying this might be due to Rachel Bloom being a Zionist, but her pro-Israel views have been known for a LONG time and she's been on Dropout before (on Monet's Slumber Party, and I think also an episode of Um, Actually?) so I can't see why it would be any different now

I think we can all speculate on the reason, at the end of the day it's a bummer and I hope the decision was made with respect to all parties. It seems like Sam and Rachel go way back (and a lot of the Dropout cast was featured on CXG), so that's gotta be a tough call.
Fingers crossed that they can do another Karaoke episode next season and bring back Zach or Wayne. And here's hoping that Rashawn is on Game Changer because I just fucking live for her.

Rachel Bloom is a known Zionist and after the backlash they got from platforming Noah from Smosh on Dirty Laundry maybe they just don't want the headache of going through that again, it's a shame for Ross and Rashawn getting their episode cut especially Rashawn since it's her only appearance this season

I’m guessing because they decided they didn’t want to platform a Zionist.

The people who bitch about someone who is pro-israel being on dropout probably have a decent crossover with those who didn't vote for Kamala Harris for not being pro-palestine enough and stuck us with Trump.
I don't blame trumpers for trump. They're just brainwashed. I blame the people who didn't think Biden or Harris passed their liberal purity test and stayed home or voted third party.
Israel vs Palestine is a complicated topic. most people don't understand it very well. Most people could do with accepting that they're never going to agree on it and not let it get in the way of everything in life.

I dont understand how they can film her episode, put it in the trailer, then all of the sudden its sound issues? Why didn't they catch it at least before the trailer? Seems fishy.

If there was a single MSN episode this season that was going to get cut I’m glad it’s this one. The Karaoke episodes (including Gamechanger’s version) are probably the only thing Dropout puts out that less than 50% of subscribers seem to enjoy.
