I’m sure this gets asked a decent amount but I have a short connection flight at DFW Sunday and nervous if I will be able to make my flight. Never flown the airport, if my flight is in a different terminal will it still be possible to make my next flight with only 40ish mins? Any help appreciated if you flown DFW and know airport. Thanks

You should be okay. There's the Skylink that connects all the terminals and they run often. It's also free

DFW is one of the best airports for this. Get off the plane and look for for the sign that says "sky link" - You can pretty much use it to get anywhere in DFW within 15 minutes. Its my home airport. I think most of the major terminals have 1 or 2 boarding areas for it. Just google beforehand if you are worried about having a shorter walk.

For example: I had an international flight last week. I got to terminal D about an hour before the flight, and the line was OUTRAGEOUS. I was never going to make that flight, even for precheck. So I got back in my car, drove to terminal A in my vehicle, walked right through security, got on the skylink, and walked onto my plane with group 1. Skylink made getting from terminal A to D pretty easy to do in a short period of time.

some of you people don't fly much do you. Landing time is when the wheels touch down. Arrival time is when you get to the gate.

Most flights begin boarding 40 minutes before departure, so OP has about 20 minutes from arrival to the beginning of boarding. The gates don't close until 15 minutes before departure. So that's about 55 minutes between arrival and having to be on the next plane. Minus a few minutes for deplaning and 10-15 minutes max to take the sky link, OP is fine.

11:25 then you still have to taxi and deplane... It will be incredibly tight but it is totally possible if everything goes without a single hitch.

I was on a flight once and somehow a lady got the flight attendants to come over the intercom and let her off first to catch a connection... Maybe ask your flight attendants about it? Have your connecting info ready in that case.

I had a super tight connection before and they actually held the plane, myself and 3 others got on after the plane was scheduled to depart... I had no idea they even did that.

Good luck!

DFW is laid out well for getting to parts of it quickly despite it being dispersed over a huge area. Skylink is your friend and should not have any wait times since you are already inside security.

It will be tight but hopefully there’s another flight later in the afternoon
