Anyone read the book 'Lost Connections' by Johann Hari? I watched an interview with him and what he is saying makes a lot of sense. I think people today easily ignore crucial social structures and think we can live in isolation without serious consequences. I've also worried about how easy it is to isolate yourself nowadays, because we don't have communities that will notice that necessarily, or look after us. I just feel like this is really important and should be talked about way more.

I've struggled with depression and have used cbt as a tool. I am in a slightly better place now and consider taking mushrooms and starting a gardening hobby. I want to try multiple approaches as what I've been doing so far isn't completely working.

I completely agree. Also, far too many people just haven't got access to a valuable support network.
