Djed played well but he really needs to keep an eye on runners at the back post

I've been a consistent believer in Brennan's potential and it shouldn't be looked over that the ability to put the ball in the net is a very valuable skill.

All that said, we need an upgrade on the RW so fucking bad. Being a one-trick pony isn't good enough for a team competing in the most difficult competition in the sport. He doesn't press well, his passing (anything that isn't a cutback into the box) isn't good enough, contributes virtually nothing in the buildup, & constantly opts to pass it back instead of even try to take on his man.

I'm not clamoring for a "dribbly winger" either, I don't want someone like Doku that dribbles and then contributes nothing. We need a more well-rounded winger that can be something other than a black hole for attacking play.

In my opinion Danso's been pretty reliable and fun to watch, although I could be forgetting things. Does anyone else think the same?

I think Maddison should be higher tbh. Him alongside Sonny created our best chance in the game for that Sarr chance. He also gave the pass that would end up becoming a penalty. Also think Spence should be lower he was at fault for the offside goal and one other goal.

Biss wasn't amazing but he shouldn't be lower than Bentancur.

Romero, other than his blunders due to rustiness in the first few minutes, consistently broke the lines with his passes through the middle, which we have been missing since he's been gone. He gets rated a 3.8. Son hits the post, wins the penalty, converts it for the equalizer goal. He gets a 5. Maddison creates the penalty and controls the midfield immediately when he subs on. Gets a 6.5. Even solanke he runs his ass off and gets a low rating. This sub is a bunch of gloomers and even jumped on the dm (bentancur, bissouma) hate train who provide completely different tactical approaches to the game (bentancur is more control, possession based while bissouma was clearly more progressive in dribbles and passes in the first pass). Even worse, voters consistently put spence at a higher rating due to breaking the press a few times with dribbles and passes but completely ignore him doing prime Emerson Royal back post marking on the first goal conceded. Fans gotta stop being negative and impatient, the turnaround is slow from fatigue, and tactics have changed because the fans have also screamed for the pragmatism in the tactics and we cannot revert back to our high intensity ways.

The difference of ratings between us and the Journalists for the attacking players is definitely something

That was a shit quote from Romero. He had played 15 minutes for the club that pay his wages in the past 4 months and yet he intentionally only thank the Argentina physios for his care! That’s a massive disrespect to Spurs at every level! Fucking selfish overrated cunt! Ship him out this summer. He clearly doesn’t give a shit about Spurs.

How did Maddison possibly get a 5 when his pass to Son to win the penalty saved the game?

I actually don't think Brennan was as bad as everyone (including Ali) seems to think. The potential penalty - upon review I think it's one of those that is entirely up to the ref, VAR won't overturn - comes from an aggressive and pacey attack, quite different and proactive from him.

Sarr's second half defending was leagues better than what we got from Biss and Lolo, plus the goal of course, 6 is harsh imo.

I'd bet Odobert would have had a goal or two of Solanke could handle the ball.

I think Solanke is unfair, he's being told to play hold up on a team that really sucks at getting the ball forward, there is very little he can do. And against Bournemouth he held the ball really well, what happens afterwards is not really his fault. There were barely any chances for him to get on the end of.

Huge difference between r/coys and the Pundits regarding Danso and Maddison.

It’s crazy to me that bissouma got a lower grade than bentancur. Bentancur was genuinely horrific

Feel a little low for Bergvall, Solanke and Danso - but was such a depressing performance I was probably clinging to moments of decency.

Johnson was much better than Odobert, I'll always find it crazy how a club's top goalscorer can be disrespected this much.
