This feels like the most younger sibling response to ever come from a younger sibling

Context : around a year or 2 ago, my lil sister told my mom that i take 4 times longer to shower now compared to before. Found it hilarious so i decided to draw this comic lol

also me and my 2 sisters both like dyeing our hair so we all end up looking like different flavors of pudding haha

Father of a trans boy here. I can vouch for the giggly part, he's much happier these days.

Homophobes: We can't allow people to be trans. It'll confuse the children.

Children: Bro's a girl now? Can I have her room then?

Not trans, but a guy who’s been growing his hair out a bit, and yeah it takes me so much longer to shower now 😭

Funnily enough, I actually take less time now than before my transition :o I have a lot more to do in the shower, but I'm being productive with my time instead of just unknowingly wallowing in the water until it gets cold :P

I grew up under the impression that I had a little sister, until several years back when he first told me that he identified as a trans man. At which point I joked about always wanting a brother and making it clear that I love him and accept him and want to make him feel valid 100% and that nothing would ever change that. In the years since, not much has changed. The only noticeable one is that now my baby brother grows a better beard than I’ve ever been able to grow and I kinda resent him for that.

I am the youngest of my family, and I can confirm if I had an older trans sibling, this is how I’d respond.

But I am the trans sibling, just…Y’know…closet is comfy…transphobic family is not…TT

I have 2 children, 17 months apart, the oldest transitioned from female to male at age 15. When we told his younger sister, she reacted exactly like this. "Oh, okay. So what's for dinner?" Gen Z is going to save the world.

This reminds me of my friend and her younger sibling. If her sister was asked this question… she would answer “SHE STEALS ALL OF MY CLOTHES NOW!” 😅😅

"So what did you think of the transition?"

"Well I used to think he was a b1tch. Now I think she is a b1tch."

That's cute. More people need to be like your sister. They shouldn't someone based on what they did, but the person they became. A couple of my friends are also mtf and it's night and day seeing how much happier they are now then before. I don't like saying "I don't care" about sexuality and things like that because it feels like I'm being insensitive. But what I mean is that I don't have a strong opinion, someone's sexuality has nothing to do with how I view them as a person. It's like a fact almost, like a favorite color if that makes sense. Unless you're 5 you don't care what someone's favorite color is, you just know what it is without an opinion.

I don't know if that made sense, or if I worded it correctly. My point is, I like how your sister responded, and I think more people should look at it the way she does.

I'm the queer one in my family, am bi and trans myself, however, I have no clue how my family would feel if I came out as trans to them. It took a fuckton of prodding from my father to get me to admit I'm bi and he was fine with it but.. I know there's people out there who are fine with non-straight people but aren't fine with trans people (like my partner's mum)

When my trans parent came out (I was about 20 or so), my response was pretty much, "well now I can't brag about you breaking gender norms with your knitting hobby!" This reminds me of that lol

Lots of love for our trans family members!!!

What was the little sister age when this happened?

the "she's a lot more giggly than before" is such a heart wrencher, since trans people tend to (90-99% cant rememeber fully) be happier post transsisioning (why is that a hard word to spell?) and smile more. 100/100 such a great anf fun little comic.
