I don't know if I agree with that. people are acting like there weren't early successes with the pressure that the Bernie movement had on the Biden administration. I don't think you could have pressured the Bush administration that way.
I know what people thought the Bush administration was, but it wasn't like some extreme right movement. It appealed to right-wing elements at that time, but it was very neocon government that fitting pretty well with the neoliberal Democrats.
