But that is Reddit's MO. They take good working software and make it worse. Look at old.reddit vs new.reddit. Old is such a better user experience, but new is more "modern" and all about that IPO.
Easy solution. Use literally any other reddit app. The official ones are awful. Relay for Android, Apollo for iOS.
