Vi in Reddit’s avatar builder

Avatars were first introduced back in 2015[5] and then in 2020[6] custom avatars complete with great hair, facial expressions, fun gear and accessories, and other elements that let redditors express their identity entered the world. Now in 2021 and moving into the next year, we’ll continue to evolve avatars to create new ways for redditors to show their individuality, distinction, and prestige on Reddit. Creating gear inspired by League of Legends’ Arcane is one thing we’re exploring, but keep an eye out for more.

Saw a kid the other day who didn't even know what League of Legends was, would've been unheard of a few years ago but I'm thinking it's a sign you guys really missed the mark here. There's a ton of resentment built up against you guys and LoL avatars don't do a single thing to address it.

Can you please make this dumb shit go away? I have not watched arcane and I have no interest whatsoever in customizing my avatar but this “Reddit x arcane” bullshit sits at the top of every comment section like an annoying ad. I picked an avatar to make it stop but even that doesn’t work because apparently I still need to be advertised to even after “buying the product.” No ads is part of why I like this app, if this doesn’t change soon I’m uninstalling.
