View submission: You can now opt-out of being followed
Hello there. I can confirm there are definitely bugs as these two comments mentioned

My follower setting was disabled by default. When I first went to my follower list, it went from 32 to 0 and then disappeared entirely. I went to settings and enabled it and then checked my profile again. List is back and so are my unwanted followers.
I tried it a few more times and eventually decided to record it for here. Here's the video proof
Is this how it's supposed to work? I don't want followers at all so I'm going to block and then unblock them and hope that will force remove me from their feeds, I'll opt out after I'm done clearing my list

Thank you — we're looking into the issue where the setting is off by default.
As for the follower list itself, turning off the ability for others to follow you does not remove people from following you if they were already doing so. Once you turn it off, you will not receive new follows. However, if you turn it back on, the existing list of people who were following you will still be there.
Can you tell me what app version number you're on?
