Do you really think that the users of this site are dumb enough to not think that your statement makes zero sense? The very definition of personalised ads contradicts your statement that "[... [Reddit has]] not used data collected from that setting for personalisation", and the only way that this site makes money from is the appliance and the selling of user data. Please stop lying to our faces, especially since you clearly aren't even good at it. No one was confused with the settings for opting out of personalised ads. Also, what Reddit is doing by stopping people from being able to opt out of personalisation is illegal under the GDPR and the UK GDPR, and I hope that Reddit gets sued and is forced to change this. The mobile app is so garbage that if I had found a Reddit client that was not privacy-invasive, was fast and had a good UI, I would have already stopped using the official app anyway. Reddit admins like **you** are one of the reasons for why so many people use alternative clients and/or adblockers (for Reddit, anyway, but most people who use adblockers use them for every website that they visit on the web). Some, also do not even use Reddit because they see no point in doing so as Reddit has become the very thing it swore to destroy: a place for closed echo chambers and censorship. Also, please understand that most users hate New Reddit because it's absolutely bloated and an eyesore to look at, and they will not use New Reddit no matter what, so please stop shoving it down our throats. Make sure to report all of my (more like our, since many people think the same) complaints back to your superiors.
