View submission: Removing sexually explicit content from r/all

Doesn't /r/popular already filter out NSFW content?

Can't people change their own settings to filter out NSFW content if they want?

Yes and Yes. It's literally the #1 question discussed and talked about when they launched r/popular funny enough.

Yes, people used to be able to choose if they want to see NSFW content or not. Now they can't anymore. I believe this is called "improving the user experience".

With RES it's a simple toggle 2 clicks away without even leaving the page or reloading.

I don't mind the default for /r/all being nsfw only, but it would have been nice if they had the option. /r/pornular? rebrand /r/unpopular?

I know I'm late but this answers my question of where all the porn went.

Stupid fucking change. Truly retarded. So r/all isnt all anymore. Good luck finding new fringe subs. I'm fucking disgusted by this.

Edit: Fuck. I'm so fucking... just disappointed by this removal of how I want my reddit experience to be. This is the wrong fucking way to do it. This kinda flew under the radar but this is a MASSIVE fucking change that is so big brother its disgusting and so anti-reddit or at least anti what i thought reddit was.

No, you can't really filter out all nsfw content from /r/all currently. There are some nsfw subreddits that are part of all, but don't flag themselves as nsfw, so their content appears in all even if you're suppressing nsfw content. Also, users often post nsfw content to their user subreddits and don't tag it properly, so that shows up in all, also.

Ideally nsfw should be off by default imo but there should definitely be an option

I think reddit has a right to choose not to serve as a website for self promotion.. that's all NSFW posts are nowadays
