What do you think about the video game business on smartphones? What are the predictions for this market? I am a game developer, and I observe that this market is overcrowded with low-quality games.

Great outlook. My company works in app marketing specially for smaller/solo game developers and you don't need a huge marketing budget to earn that initial success.
Go for it. Just make sure your game is both enjoyable as well as monetizable.
