This needs more upvotes. My first was Macbeth. Murder, witches and ghosts - perfect for the twelve-year-old mind. I didn't fucking know you could do that with words.
As an aside, I don't understand why teenagers are usually introduced to R&J first. I can appreciate it more now that I'm older, but it seemed (when I was a teen) like an overly idealized adult's version of "young love". I've always thought that something bloodier or bawdier would be a better way to get young people into the Bard's world.
