In your account preferences, check the box that says something along the lines of "opt out of reddit redesign".

Reddit will only ever appear in its classic form as long as you're logged in, regardless of whether or not the url has the 'old' prefix.

Links to reddit are literally unusable on mobile without an app (I use rif). It takes you to some shitty broken page where you can't see all the comments and every link is a download link for the official app. It's maddening. When link associations broke briefly in Android 12 I just couldn't use links to reddit from search results.

I use Redirector 3.5.3[1] in Chrome. Anytime I click anything that says reddit.com in it, the extension changes it to old.reddit.com in the URL. Let me know if you use it because there is a scriptlike configuration that needs to be set for it to work correctly and it took me a while to get it right.
