There is zero risk in using a third party app. In fact they are almost all older than the trash official app lmao.
I use reddit is fun on android but there are tons of other good ones as well. Apollo is okay on iOS I believe unless it is changed. Just google android or iOS best reddit app and you will find threads on it.
