I loved this blog. The accountant in me was having a field day reading about Reddit's style, history, and finances. Major brownie points for them, although I really want them to start turning a profit so we don't lose this website.

I also wonder why they think it will become profitable. I mean, if ads and reddit gold aren't doing it, what do they think will?

Yeah, websites need revenue to be profitable. One ad slot that is rarely purchased and reddit gold just isn't enough.
