Are there any good cash back or gift card back apps/sites for dining out? I have 4 kids doing extracurricular activities and meals aren't always on the table at home these days. If I'm gonna buy out I might as well earn something on it. I use Ibotta and Rakuten already.

Upside has selective deals for dining at specific places. Mostly I’ve found that the places they link to are an extra 10-15 minutes away from me, so I got rid of it.

If you're open to it, a fair number of credit cards will give a % back on dining (or other categories). Just read the fine print, and be vigilant about always paying it off before your due-date, otherwise fees and/or debt might cancel out any benefit you get.

I can't think of any apps per se, but I know with a PayPal debit card you can get 4% cashback at restaurants. (Have to pick the category monthly though.)

Like someone else mentioned. If you’re open to credit cards the Amex gold gives 4% on restaurants, $100 credit to restaurants featured in Resy, $7/ Dunkin’ credit, $10/month Grubhub credit, $10/month uber eats credit. If you are a user of the services I mentioned, the anual fee gets “covered” by the credits ($325). Not to mention you can change your Rakuten currency to Amex points so they all pool in the same place

Upside. I get like 25 percent off Pizza hut. Plus they have other restaurants. Plus gasoline.

If you have T-Mobile, you can get 5% back at a lot of restaurants and it doubles to 10% on Tuesday. Just have to sign up through T-Life.

if you already have credit cards, open their banking app and look under their special offers. often times there will be restaurant offers that you can add.

You could double dip on things like this like also tying your credit card to airline dining programs where you earn miles for dining at certain restaurants. I do this for American Airlines.

If you are open to a credit card Chase's Sapphire Preferrred will get you 3% back on all dining, dine-in, carry out, take out, etc. 3% back on all subscriptions you have, 3% on online groceries, 2% back on any travel, including Uber, Lyft (5%), a variety of parking apps for tons of different cities, public transit apps, etc.

However it is not straight cash back it is Chase's Ultimate Rewards that can be 1:1 to many of their partners, used on Chase Travel, converted to cash, etc.

It also gives free DoorDash and Caviar subscription through 2027 if that is something that is useful for you.

There's a blockchain-based app called PLATO EATS which looks kind of interesting.

Some resturants do a kids eat free day or times through the week. Maybe google kids eat free and your location to get specifics. You can also check out loyalty programs where you can get discounts or free food after so much spent. I know the Mcdonalds app does this and think Taco Bell also has a rewards program. You can also use the Upside app mentioned previously on Mcdonalds and get like 2% back.
