View submission: Quick Questions on the Baha'i Faith

There are currently 8 Mashriqu’l-Adhkár but we as a whole seem to feel that more at this time would be an inappropriate allocation of desperately needed funds.

I actually had a really heated debate with some Baha'is on this. Our group was split.

Essentially there are two types of houses. A dedicated, modest house in a city no where near Mashriqu'l-Adhkar, and of course the aforementioned.

In any case they are supposed to serve as the nucleus of the community with schools, hospitals, et cetera.

I know the UHJ right now is really big onto the grass roots stuff and as an anarcho-sympathist I definitely see the merit. The only problem is the Faith right now is wasting resources on trying to proselytize (albeit hidden behind a thin veil) instead of doing as Abdul Baha said and to move onward with our actions and not just our mouths. This despite the fact that Baha'u'llah forbid proselytizing. It feels like a smack to his face.

So I think that the grass roots is good, but it is a clash of systems. The top down organization from the UHJ is not really made for grass roots.

Ummmmm..... that is a whole lot more thought than I've put into it, honestly. I'm just a simple hot dog vendor.
