To be fair, he writes a comic every single day. Plus he doesn't really read much philosophy. Plus, I thought it was pretty funny.
On a side note, he said in an interview that he had never heard of a utility monster when he wrote his utility monster comic[1]. And then everyone in the comments was saying "I really love how SMBC explains complex concepts like the Utility Monster without using the actual jargon". And he was like "What the fuck is a Utility Monster?". I don't know what my point is here, but I thought it was pretty funny.

This is such a straw man comic. Marx explains it's not simply Sex Time, it's Socially Necessary Sex Time. He defines SNST as the socially average amount of time it takes to get someone off in a society with a given amount of skill and technological development
