Can't control how harsh you are being? So you lack self control? You can enlighten people without being a dick. Most of my friends who have converted to atheism because of me, have done so because they noticed how even without religion I seemed happier, and more willing to live my life in the ways I wanted to. It showed them that God was not necessary to get what you want out of life. They then looked into on their own, and brought questions to me. With that they realized the errors in their beliefs. You don't treat people like shit to prevent people from being treated like shit...you give them a reason to open their minds, not make them feel they need to play defense.
