According to http://www.iea.usp.br/en/news/when-a-day-lasted-only-four-hours[1] , a day lasted only 4 hours right after the moon was formed, and the moon was at about the same distance as our geosynchronous satellites. It would have appeared about 10 times bigger in diameter than it does now.
