I was just looking at tickets for shows at what used to be rabbit rabbit and they are so much more expensive this year. I guess it cost them a lot of money to do all that stupid rebranding to a name that nobody likes.

Regardless of the current situation with ownership, this has never been and never will be a good venue. Shit sound, sloped asphalt, pre- poured luke warm beers, zero shade, and now bringing in a bigger booking agency that will certainly monopolize bands that you want to see. But, what are you gonna do, drive to Raleigh for every show?

Rebranding a parking lot as an "Open-Air Amphitheater" is the biggest ass pull of a joke I think I've seen since moving here 15 years ago.

It’s a terrible venue no matter who runs it.

I've never had a show at this venue that wasn't ruined by people around me talking about their stupid pathetic lives instead of listening to the music. I know this is most shows at most venues but the loud ones at Orange Peel tend to be pretty tolerable even if you aren't five feet from the stage.

Does that include all of the fees as part Of an upfront number? Idk why I felt like something politically dome that began the last few months now requires venues to show all fees up front. I’m not positive but maybe that is thrown in to increase the price?

I saw King Gizzard at the civic center this past August. Last time I saw them in town was at Rabbit Rabbit in 2022. After leaving the civic center show I told my husband my main takeaway was that I didn’t realize how bad the sound at Rabbit Rabbit was until that night

Gullible consumers won’t care. They’ll still pay.

These same bands play at the amphitheater in Simpsonville, often for 1/3 of the price. When Rabbit Rabbit was charging $75/ticket for Willie Nelson, you could drive an hour south to the CCNB Ampitheater and see the same show the next day for $20! I’ve seen a ton of great shows there and it’s in a lovely grass field and you bring your own camp chair and are in close proximity to the stage. Free parking as well.

I mean for VIP Chappell Roan I paid a little over $115 including taxes for each ticket. Then for Sierra Ferrell general admission, I paid about $65 including taxes for each ticket. I don’t think it was that much of a jump.

A sweeping chunk of the venues here genuinely do suck at the end of the day; it’s my twelfth year here and can think of at least one or two friends who had terrible experiences working at a lot of different concert spots here. Salvage station is a real loss.

Oh they are some real A-holes. Search this sub. I wouldn’t go to a show there if it was free!

i doubt the increase in ticket costs has much to do with Asheville Yards. it's not a great venue but the hate boner for this place is silly.
