I'm just gonna say it: this is dumb. It's totally meaningless and it's negative PR for Armenians who are already hated in LA for a myriad of reasons.

It's great, actually. Racists will always find something to complain about. In a city with more Armenians than any other group, having two blocks renamed to Artsakh street is a tiny thing.
I would like to see a Saroyan Street, a Deukmejian Street, a Yerevan Street and others as well, in Glendale, in Los Angeles, in Fresno, in Montebello and in other places with Armenian communities.

Agree, but prepare for the downvotes.
Would be fine if they chose some other name like “Ararat” etc. instead of trying to hijack local politics to low key make the city take a position on a foreign territorial dispute.
Like I said before, this would be just as annoying if it were AIPAC trying to push “Judea and Samaria” as a place name in a U.S. city as a fuck you to Palestinians.
