No, and I’d argue most people who make this argument don’t like it either. But it *is* the grim reality of the scenario. The point of making this statement is to point out the *irony* that the “eggs are too expensive” single issue voters voted themselves into a situation where everything is going to get vastly more expensive rather than less. Because it turns out voting in a populist who campaigns on simple, easy solutions isn’t a good idea in the long term.

Nah they're going to be more expensive temporarily. That's because the food manufacturers are already close to the price that people will significantly reduce production, which means they can't raise prices much. They'll have to take it out of their profits. Which means they'll automate most of it.
The thing you're missing is people like me didn't vote for simple easy solutions. We voted for the right policy even if it was going to be hard. I went into the tariffs and immigration crackdown well aware of the consequences and long term benefits.
That will take a few years but it'll result in even cheaper eggs by then. Some industries might end up with American workers at higher wages. Most though will automate and get cheaper.
Better for all consumers in the long run, and one step closer to a real post scarcity society.
