View submission: What are the reasons millions of undocumented immigrants were allowed in the US? I don't recall ever hearing the most obvious reasons by politicians.

You do realize that's just politics in general? Easier to maintain the status quo when you attack the other side for the same issues every time.

We're not talking about "attacking the other side," we're talking about scapegoating vulnerable minorities such as minorities, pregnant women, LGBTQ people, etc.
