Because for some reason people over here think that politics being arbitrarily related to everything means they can bring up their stupid views no one cares about wherever they feel like it. You like Star Wars? Well since there's politics in that it means it's acceptable to randomly bring up Trump. What about Dungeons and Dragons? Well you could be running a game of political intrigue so now is the perfect time to share my thesis about standardized healthcare. Or Reddit Secret Santa? Well Bill Gates participates and him being wealthy makes a community project political in nature so allow me to lecture you on why we need to tax the wealthy. Basically because politics have become their identity and they're now miserable these people feel the need to ruin everyone else's fun.

Because to *some* Americans politics (and their side) is their entire identity and what they base everything they do on.

I don't know, why do Europeans always feel the need to complain about it?
