It's just an internet forum.

If Reddit was the only platform doing it sure.

But when you step back you see EVERY internet platform is doing this. Not only that but the social aspects of the internet are now controlled entirely by a 4-5 companies. If just one of those companies does something(be it facebook, twitter etc.) that basically impacts the vast majority of the world.

This isnt the pre smartphone era internet where one website doing something bad can be ignored.

Yeah, this is the stuff I was warning against. You've taken reasonable concerns over Reddit's bad practices and turned them into the ravings of a conspiracy theorist.

Unless you have some shocking proof to drop on us, there's no reason to jump to "secret cabal controlling us".
