So why do you never get an answer when you ask what content you upvoted that got you a 3 day suspension?

How is any user supposed to learn from that?

You obviously have the data, otherwise users wouldn't be getting suspended, so why not inform the users?

You cant appeal anything. My friend was banned for "hate speech" recently. It was obvious sarcasm directed in anger against a racist troll. He lost an account of 6 years and has no way to get it back.

It's weird that you can get banned on a sub for upvoting posts. /r/subredditdrama mods do this sometimes to deal with "popcorn pissers", users who get themselves wrapped up in the drama unfolding.

I got suspended a week ago and cannot get an answer as to why. I have someone a few hours before I got suspended get upset at a reply. Nothing against any rule on reddit. It was a really bland comment one sentence comment. The person responded really nasty to me. I never responded and deleted the comment. Next thing I know my account is suspended with no reasoning on why. I've sent a response asking why I was suspended and how I can change my comments next time. I sent the screenshots I did get a refund of my reddit premium.

or getting outright permanently banned from a default subreddit with no reason given, but it's coincidentally after calling on Chinese astroturfers on posts about Hong Kong.

but they gave no reason, no warning, and I'd never had any issues before.

They can't provide examples because then it will be obvious how right-wing subreddits get banned for extreme things like anti-semitism and death treats, while left-wing subreddits get banned for saying that Henry Kissinger is a war criminal or something similar.

They just need left-wing subreddits to ban in order to appear "balanced", it wasn't about breaking the rules at all.

it should be a min req to quote the specific thing said that resulted in the ban.

it would be far better to have that be a warning first with something typed out by the mod saying "hey, can you do x instead of y, then you can stay"

Yes, My main account is also currently under suspension due to some 'minor' content & i don't think that i posted any content that can be legally termed minor. It can be possible that i only upvoted some of that content.

They just need to get rid of voting all together, this shit is stupid. Reddit is trash, if it wasn't for some gaming subs, I would have abandoned it years ago. Got banned from r/news years ago from a power tripping mod because I dared to post an opinion on something they disagreed with. Now I hang out on the chan boards mostly and come here occasionally. At least the chan boards are not a hugbox and if someone disagrees with you, they have to bring their gameface on because there are no votes to brigade down wrongthink or mass vote up some bs argument.
