Self Esteem is one of those things I think everybody struggles with. We're bombarded with messaging all day about how we're not good enough, and even when we are we're told to be aware of how fragile our position in that place is. There is no easy solve for this, but what helped was finding something I was good at, or could be good at, and leaning all the way in. Like, "sure I could look funny and smell a little weird... but have you ever tasted a better cookie? I made that, motherfucker. From scratch."

I love this. The only tweak I needed to make for myself on this sort of perspective was that I needed to not try to make the *VERY BEST* cookie (or whatever the thing is we're talking about) but also accept that it's simply good and what is needed in the situation, and it's valuable enough that *I'm the one* making (or doing) it.
