Should I follow my dream and go through a few rocky months of tight finances hoping for business to pick up or drop the dream for right now and get a normal job and be financially stable but might never go back to the dream?

I've done both the former and the latter. You have to think about how much it will eat at you if you let a couple of months of tight finances be the 'thing' that stopped you. The thing that was able to defeat your dream. And then be OK with that (because it is OK). Also take into consideration the people it impacts. For me, I have a child so it wasn't just me that had to live in the trenches for my dream.

In general, when at a fork in your road, choose the path of least regret.

Yes. Always choose love over money.

It's not ok. Fuck your kid. Fuck your wife, hunny, parents, everyone. Go for your dream.
