Sorry to complain about something that is now literally hours old, but if we learn anything from reddit's current situation it might be that we should keep therapy words in therapy. Sure, it is great that safe spaces exist, but they can only exist in fairly tight circumstances. An open internet forum is not one of them. Hell, I would maintain that safe spaces need access to trained therapists if not their actual presence.
So if this whole stupid fucking idea dies then maybe some other problems can go with it.

You and Warlizard should start some sort of online forum.
Perhaps gaming related.

Spez is just a hypocritical moron and corporate prostitute but then that's not really news.
Hell will freeze over before the Reddit admins apply a consistent ban policy.

Doesn't this just highlight that the whole situation is just impossibly paradoxical?

Aaaand this is exactly why free speech is all or nothing. Either everyone says what they want, or everyone has to worry about peeking backward over their shoulders to check whether they are the target du jour.

They won't do anything about it because it gets them more money and attention not to. It's the same reason why they allow subreddits like /r/coontown /r/jailbait /r/n****rs and others to stick around just long enough to get a bunch of people whining when they shut it down instead of doing it right of the start. They get more publicity and more traffic to the site which translates into more money. It's all about the bottom line

Maybe the message is to be a bit smarter about your hate?
It's a silly argument to say "Boo hoo hoo it's not fair. SRS is more intelligent about the way it bends the rules than /r/killallniggers and /r/fatwomenarecunts"
I think the last time I was boo-hoo-hooing it's not fair about what girls did that "wasn't fair" I was in primary school. Americans seem to carry this childish nonsense on into old age.
Step up your own game instead of running to teacher.
