I'm sure people said the same thing about /r/coontown to him before he went and banned that subreddit :P He's said in about a dozen places that they take banning seriously (and I suspect they will head in that direction) but saying anything about "we will ban SRS" and then having to reverse that decision (for ANY reason, good or bad) just brings a bigger shitstorm down on their heads later. Better to be quiet and then announce when they have a plan.
