Since you are likely the person with the most experience here, here is one :

A2000 with GVP030, system startup normally when gvp inserted, black screen on native 68000

68000 broke? *battery spilled some onto it when it finally gave out, 68000 cleaned battery was replaced, no traces left. *I have no other system, so I cant test the 68000, the board is one of the earliest B2000 CR rev 4.1.

I use the Amiga as I did 35 years ago, Lightwave and Cinema4D is how I spend my time with it

Without checking the 68000 the best you can do is clean the socket, take some high res pics, clean the legs on the CPU and before inserting gently spread the legs slightly wider to get a better fit. With a black screen it could be anything really. Only way to be sure is to test the traces.

The Agnus controls how much chip you can handle so there isn't any other way save replacing the Agnus with a MegaChip which amounts to the same thing. Good luck finding one of those.
