Thought I look in Google Maps. This is what that Cedar Street SF, mentioned in the article looked like in Dec 2024: https://maps.app.goo.gl/WuwJCSxr29bsbpcx9[1][2]

Swing the camera around and move down the street to see more, including a guy loading up a Jaguar car with his homeless gear...

Exemplary tidy sleeping disabled guy, with wheelchair neatly parked and sleeping in a cardboard cocoon, not bothering anybody, although there must be better places to lay your clothes than in the middle of the pavement, looks like those cartoon folk run over by a steam roller.... https://maps.app.goo.gl/kYn1WRNky4mVqaeg7[3][4]

I used to go running on Venice Beach early on Sunday mornings. There were many tent communities on the sand. When I returned from my run, they were gone.
