The problem is though is that it's not necessarily just to let 51% of people "order society" at all. It's certainly oppressive if we told those 51% they can't do what they want with their own lives. But it's not oppression to say that they can't do what they want with all of society. The real oppression is letting 51% of people control the lives of 49% by "ordering society" in a way that adheres to the beliefs of the 51%.
