Something tells me the warning signs were there for quite some time.

I think your closet is trying to tell you something… time to declutter! That is too much for that small, not very sturdy rack.

Way too much weight to support.

That wire shit always collapses. When I hear it go down in the middle of the night, I don't even bother to get out of bed to investigate. I just pull a pillow over my head and groan.

Maybe it’s time for heavy duty shelves to match that load or don’t put 20lbs of shit on a 5lb rack.

Look at the point of failure. The anchors are still in the wall but the *plastic* clips have broken. What a cheap product.

Wrong installation that’s why. That kind of shelves require a horizontal bracket for 2 vertical rods that hold the actual shelf brackets. All of them need to be securely screwed in

This is a sign to take the time and make a custom built in.

Because it's overloaded. Everytime I see these types of racks collapsed it's overloaded. Just because it fits doesn't mean it can handle the weight.

That skin k ass white rack was doing a lot of lifting with that amount of clothes on. Same with what I assume wasn't an expensive rolly rack thing. I'm surprised they didn't collapse sooner tbh.

Girl, respectfully, you have all of that in your closet but are wearing a white sweatshirt 😂
You’ll feel better after getting rid of 50% of that stuff at minimum!
