The only idiotic thing here is the fact they didn’t ease into the pull…the tow hook was used, the slack immediately becoming taught is what broke the tow hook from the frame.

I thought it was going to be a lot worse.

Whenever you're watching a vehicle being pulled with a chain/rope, expect it to stretch twice as much, and stand that far away. If that chain/rope breaks, and hits you, it will kill you. There's a lot of force there.

That was obvious. I have been driving for maybe 6 years, I don't get much snow, I have never towed, but I'm not stupid enough to do this. Absolute idiots.
