If the ads work, I don't mind at all, and I hope others don't either. You have to get paid for all this work!

In my opinion, the issue of bias is more prominent if you start getting paid for mentions, reviews, etc, which I think we all know is the case for the vast majority of highly trafficked online watch content. That's crossing the Rubicon.

yeah, but it's one thin Rubicon :D Taking on a watch company as an advertiser will necessarily bring up questions whether any coverage of their releases and reviews has been influenced. I always try to put a disclaimer on the reviews to disclose any conflicts of interest (like the Marnaut review[1] from this week, my friend makes those), but a misstep is inevitable, and once you lose credibility... we've all seen where that goes. tough choice to make
