I know everyone who goes in for engineering starts as General Engineering, but I just realized that I put in that on the commonapp instead of what I want, which is Chemical Engineering. How bad did I screw up?
I put general engineering, and put chemical as a possible major of interest.

you’re fine i got in on cs and now im in aero. if you keep your gpa up you can go into whatever field you want

Went in as CS and ended up as mechanical engineering just focus on getting in and keeping a 3.0!
