Currently in a 3br and we each pay about $600/month for rent and utilities. Anything similar in Blacksburg? New mgmt is under investigation for shady business practices and we get mystery charges as well as communal water and gas bills which is unethical and weird. The convenience and location is what hooked us but now we’re wondering if there’s better options.

Windsor Hills is a pretty close analog to Foxridge but IIRC they are owned by the same company. If you’re looking for cheap rent I’ve had friends stay in Shawnee for CHEAP. apartments are about foxridge quality, you just have to travel a bit to the laundry building and there aren’t many other amenities that i know of.

I’m in a 2 bedroom 1 bath at Chasewood Downs. My half is $620 a month for rent (internet, water, trash included) plus $50-75 for electricity. No gym, just a “fitness center.” It’s about a mile from Goodwin Hall.
