We didn’t just ignore Venezuela, we actively contributed to the awful situation there. We’ve placed crippling sanctions on Venezuela that were specifically meant to lead to poverty, hunger, and lack of medical care. Our government did this because they thought that a poor, sick, and starving population would do the dirty work and overthrow the socialist government for us.
