What is the point of having fuck-you-money if you never say "fuck you"?

This article shows how tech companies like Spotify, Apple, and Amazon are getting involved in Trump’s inauguration...some by hosting events, others by making big donations. It’s interesting to see how they’re balancing political ties with their business interests, especially with all the antitrust and lobbying stuff going on.

The power of the US president is too big no matter who he is.

Major tech companies matched this million-dollar standard. This includes Microsoft, Google, Uber, Adobe, and first-time donor Meta.
What a time to be alive.

The thing that seems to get lost here is that 30 years ago, most of this didn't exist. We lived and worked just fine without Spotify or X or Facebook. Our lives were less complicated and more enjoyable. We listened to the radio or records. Went to the movies. Talked to friends in face to face meetings. There isn't anything that has evolved that we absolutely need to live and survive. Most if this stuff is entertainment. Dangerous entertainment.
I remember the first aol chat rooms and how people were sitting on 5 gallon pickle buckets to defecate in while chatting on aol.
Get out of the house. Go do something. Meet people enjoy life. Before it becomes a crime to do so.

All these tech bros know is money, not history nor philosophy. Is it any wonder they dismiss the dangers of concentrations of power?

However, recent podcast success influenced this gathering’s timing. It comes as Joe Rogan’s Trump episode became Spotify’s most-listened individual podcast by a “long shot,” according to Chief Public Affairs Officer Dustee Jenkins.
We are so fucked

It wasn’t Apple it was Tim Cook who personally gave the money. There seems to be a lot of confusion about that on Reddit. It was Tim Apple as that idiot who shall not be named calls him.

Spotify has been pushing conservative podcasts for a while now.
I am not just talking about Joe Rogan. It make sense to push him. But how did Candice Owens, Ben Sharpiro, Charlie Kirk, or fucking Tucker Carlson? The tech giants have been against the public for a long time. Critical thinking is the toilet after years of attacking it and now propaganda is what is being pushed to and consumed by the youth.

corps take their masks off, same thing happened in nazi germany.
One thing trump showed, was he punishes businesses that dont play ball. Amazon lost that cloud contract despite being the clear leader. Dems dont do this despite the right always claim dems do.(remember every accusation is a confession).. heck look back at the k street project where after 40 years republicans finally took the house and than ordered corps to hire republicans and fire liberals.
So corps will happily get into bed with fascists and when the left is in office, they do shit like complain about fake shop lifting spikes

I’ve dumped Spotify, this was the final straw.
My partner has Apple Music for the time being but I am looking for alternatives.
It has been a few years since I have sailed the high seas but have no problem going out that way, I just need a device that I can use for my car.
Fuck all of these assholes.

Tech companies knowing they’ll get breaks with him.
There’s hundreds more companies that donated, but they also donate to every inauguration and campaign
