They call it something else, but they want neofeudalism.

They want to reject the concept of nation states as such and believe that more freedom will exist in a world of microstates or city-states.

I call it neofeudalism because it seems to me that someone like Peter Thiel or Jeff Bezos isn't content to just be a billionaire in the United States of america.

He wants to be a Jacob Fugger, Or a Lorenzo de medici, or a Baron Rothschild. Individuals who were so singularly wealthy that in a politically divided Europe, that they wielded the power to make or break nation states and sway world affairs.

These individuals hold no allegiance to any country, they want to remake the world into feudalism 2.0

Letting the Poors vote is ridiculous to them, and they have proved their point by tricking the Poors into voting against self-determination.

Bye-bye democracy, I’ll miss you terribly 😢

“But at the edges, there are hints of something more radical. The same Silicon Valley figures who will share the podium with Trump have long professed a basic antagonism towards the state as such. Some in their circle, such as the venture capitalist Balaji Srinivasan, have even laid out detailed blueprints for “exiting” the nation state, including the creation of new private polities or “network states”. In 2009, Thiel fantasised about cracking up the world map into thousands of new nations. “If we want to increase freedom,” he said, “we want to increase the number of countries.””

To be honest, it usually just boils down to economics.

Prominent capitalists in US hit the market cap. From this point onwards, it won’t get much better. Why bother with intranational education when you can just make non-US do these jobs anywhere in the world? Anyone having qualification + surplus is just a potential competitor for software world, and non-whites 99% don’t have these ~~qualifications~~ (I meant as surplus, as in having wealth)

If there is no competition, there is no need for high qualifications in software world, unlike other jobs where there is constant production / breaking down. Means of “production” just stay there forever, only thing that breaks them is Windows / iOS updates.

The debate surrounding H1B visa for example was only about paying for CS graduates who were highly overpaid already. I saw everyone from CS siding with far-right when it came to their jobs.

Fuck infrastructure, fuck people, love higher paycheck, love stale companies. Start of a boring oligarchy.

America is turning into exactly what it claims to stand against: totalitarianism. The hypocrisy couldn’t be more obvious. They call out China for its treatment of indigenous people but built their own country on the genocide of Native Americans. They preach about defending freedom around the world but censor democratic conversations on platforms like Twitter. Meanwhile, President Musk gets celebrated despite openly leaning into authoritarian vibes.

This whole “freedom” thing they brag about? It only seems to apply if you’re on board with their far-right, homophobic, xenophobic, and transphobic agenda. Anyone who pushes back gets shut down. It’s a mess. America’s starting to look a lot more like North Korea, Russia, and Iran than the shining beacon of freedom it has always claimed to be.

The hostile takeover of democracy by tech oligarchs worked. The other democratic countries in the world will fall within the next decade.

I think we all know this by now, but billionaires have never cared for the general public. They’ll only do things that benefits themselves and their wealth
