Hey everyone,
Sometimes I wonder how different my life would be if I had been born somewhere else. I grew up in the country of orange, weed and cheese, and followed a certain path in terms of education, work, and daily life. But what if I had grown up in Lima, Mumbai, or a small village on the other side of the world?
Would my ambitions be different? Would I have a completely different idea of success and happiness? Are there people here who think a lot about how their birthplace has shaped their life? Or maybe even people who have moved to a completely different culture and have seen their perspective change because of it?
I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences! Do you ever think about this?

It's a classic Nature vs Nurture discussion. Which parts of "you" come from your genetics, and which from how you were raised?
While the exact split is uncertain, how you're raised does influence your thoughts and behavior to some level. You would be a different person if you grew up with different influences in your life.
This could be a different country, different friends, different parents. All of those have a level of influence on how you see the world, and what you find valuable in life.

Definitely yes, environments shape our feelings and thoughts. I AM from the other side of the world of yours, I'm in Asia, and I see a lot of cultural differences by just going online. But also many shared thoughts, feelings and wonders, which make me feel like we are so much alike, maybe the differences are mostly caused by environment.
